getting excited…

We have days¬†52 left until we get to take¬†Boston to the temple! We are¬†totally looking forward to this day. ¬†We’ve been talking to Abby about it a lot and she is so excited!¬†We feel so blessed to have these two amazing children in our lives. How thankful I am that we get to have Boston sealed to us. I can’t imagine my life without this little guy. He is such a joy in my life. Today, I went and bought their little white outfits for the temple. I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to find anything I liked. Especially, for Boston…there’s really not a good selection of boy blessing outfits out there! Luckily, I was able to find just what I was invisioning for both kids. I am thrilled and can’t stop looking at these outfits! Abby looked so adorable in her¬†dress when she tried it on and keeps telling me she¬†loves her “princess dress!” I haven’t tried Boston’s outfiut on him yet becuase I’m too worried he will spit up all over it, but I know he’ll look dashing¬†in it. Although, you may not be able to see¬†his bow tie when he wears it because his cheeks will hang over it…hehehe ūüôā

{our Easter weekend}

I love, love, love Easter…it’s my favorite holiday! I love the dresses, the eggs, the baskets, the colorfully wrapped candy,¬†the eating of¬†ham, the beautiful Spring weather, the flowers, the time to reflect on Christ, the time spent with family…I just love it all!¬†

¬†We had a fun weekend! On Friday we took Abby to the movies to see Horton Hears A Who (it was pretty cute – loved how colorful it was), while Boston got to spend time with Gramma Deanie. Abby liked the movie, eating popcorn and being with just her mom & dad. Saturday we were able to see both Andy’s family and mine. It made for a busy day, but it was fun! There was lots of food, cousins, hunting for eggs and fun gifts. Abby loved hunting for eggs and was so excited when she went into Primary on Sunday to find eggs hidden all around the Primary room too. We have early church so the Easter Bunny didn’t come until after church. Abby was¬†amazed when she walked into the house and found a basket!¬†She was so thrilled and wanted Boston to feel the same. She kept handing him all the things in his basket and he could have cared less…it was funny! On Sunday, Andy and I decided we are going to start a new family tradition next year. The Easter Bunny is going to come to our house on Saturday and celebrate all the festivities that day. Then on Sunday we can celebrate the spiritual side of Easter and make it special day that way. A few of my friends handle their Easter’s this way and I think it’s a splendid idea.¬†

Andrew’s family is having a Biggest Loser competition. The deal is whoever looses the highest percentage of weight in 2 months wins¬†200¬†bucks!¬†So, of course we are on a health¬†kick around here and I’m trying to get back into running again. My sister, Hailey and I went running while Abby and Riley were at dance class. That left us with Boston and Hadley to take with us. This picture cracks me up…as soon as we said “smile” Hadley put her finger up her nose.¬†Hailey and I had a good time getting our giggles out and running! I know when you laugh and run at the same time you burn double the calories…so we had a great workout ūüôā
Oh…and Happy First Day of Spring to you all!

{green day}

We hosted playgroup at our house today.
Abby was so excited because it was “Green Day!”
All the little girls made Shamrock Wands…they loved them.
Abby insisted that Boston needed one too…so we made him a smaller version.
He loved looking at it!
Hope you all remembered to wear green today¬†ūüôā

catching up…

1. Abby gave her first prayer in Primary all by herself! We we so excited for her and you could tell she was so proud of herself. We told her she could have 3 balloons when we got home from church if she gave her prayer…to our surprise she did it!

2. I had the horrible flu last week…the kind that makes you want to die…really! I was really sick most of last week with the body aches, a sore throat¬†and super high fevers (105.8 to be exact). It was horrible…I’ve never been that sick! Andy was a great hubby and stayed home from work to take care of the kids. He did a great job! Thankfully, no one else in the fam¬†caught it!

3. We spent the weekend in Moab. Andrew ran in his first 1/2 marathon. He did awesome and finished in just over 2 hours (with no training). So proud of him! Abby loved driving in the car and playing with her cousin James. We had a fun time just hanging out, eating out and shopping. It was a fun little family getaway, but I am glad to be back home and back into our normal routine of life.

4. Boston turned 4 months old on Monday! I can’t believe it…he is growing way too fast. He had his well baby check-up and got¬†more shots…so sad! He is a healthy 14.4 pounds! The nurse fell in love with Boston, his chubby cheeks and his smile. He kept smiling at her before she had to give him his shots…he’s so sweet and happy!¬†I pulled out the bouncer yesterday and Boston loved it! The only problem was Abby couldn’t understand why she couldn’t have a turn in it.
